Regional Studies and Local Development (RSLD) is an online, open access journal that publishes reviewed essays in Italian and English (with abstracts in both languages).

An issue is published every year, with essays published throughout the year. Additionally, thematic special issues are also published.

Peer-reviewed essays: The published essays are subjected to peer-review, respecting the anonymity of the author and the two reviewers. The reviewers are Italian or foreign university professors with extensive academic experience in the field of science. The reviewer who accepts the evaluation assignment formulates their opinion by considering the following profiles: 1) originality of the text; 2) methods of analysis and quality of the research; 3) knowledge of the topic; and 4) editorial quality of the text. Additionally, the reviewer provides appropriate information regarding the work; for example, they specify if it can be published without changes or only after the implementation of the changes suggested by them. Further, they inspect and decide whether the work should be rereviewed or rejected altogether. In the event of a discordant judgment between two reviewers, the final decision lies with the editor of the journal and the scientific committee. The evaluation forms are stored at the headquarters of the magazine by the management.

RSLD is an interdisciplinary academic journal that publishes original articles in Italian and English, addressing the themes concerning regional studies and local development from a European perspective. Monothematic numbers can also be published in other languages, with abstracts in the language of publication in addition to Italian and English. For articles in languages other than Italian, the authors must mandatorily have their text reviewed by a native speaker if necessary.

RSLD journal accepts several kinds of manuscripts, such as articles, reviews and critical notes, and election reports of regional elections in Europe.

The length of the journal articles must be between 8,000 and 10,000 words (approximately between 60,000 and 70,000 characters, spaces included), with notes and references. Additionally, tables, figures, and graphs are included within the prescribed word limit. The articles must contain a title in Italian and English (max. 100 characters), an abstract in Italian and English (max. 150 words, approximately 950 characters, spaces included), and 4-5 keywords in English. The articles must be sent in an open format (Microsoft Word, open office, etc.). See template.

The length of the reviews and critical notes must be between 1,000 and 2,000 words (approximately between 6,500 and 13,000 characters, including spaces), with precise reference(s) of the book or books reviewed incorporated.

The length of the electoral reports must be between 3,000 and 4,000 words (approximately between 20,000 and 26,000 characters, spaces included), with tables, graphics, notes, sources, and bibliographic references incorporated. To receive the template, kindly write to the editorial team.

All manuscripts must be submitted in the format and style delineated here. All articles submitted must be original, i.e., they must not be revised or have been published elsewhere. Only those articles that comply with the magazine's editorial policy will be considered for publication.

Articles shall be accepted at any time. Call for papers on specific topics will be published periodically. The magazine provides for the publication of an issue per year and, in addition, the publication of any monographic issue.

Pubblicazione degli articoli

Regional Studies and Local Develoment è una rivista on line, open access, che pubblica saggi sottoposti a referaggio, in italiano e in inglese (con abstract in inglese e in italiano).

Si può pubblicare un numero all’anno (come contenitore di diversi saggi che vengono pubblicati in tempi diversi nel corso dell’anno), più special issues a tema.

Peer review. I saggi pubblicati sono sottoposti a revisione valutativa, nel rispetto dell’anonimato dell’autore e dei due revisori. I revisori sono docenti universitari di provata esperienza scientifica, italiani o stranieri. Il revisore che accetti l’incarico di valutazione formula il suo giudizio considerando ognuno dei seguenti profili:

1. originalità del testo;
2. metodologie di analisi e qualità della ricerca;
3. padronanza dell’argomento;
4. qualità redazionale del testo.

Inoltre, il revisore precisa se l’opera sia pubblicabile senza modifiche o previo apporto di modifiche, o se da rivedere, oppure da rigettare e, comunque, fornisce opportune indicazioni. Nel caso di giudizio discordante fra due revisori, la decisione finale sarà assunta dal direttore della Rivista e dal comitato scientifico.  Le schede di valutazione sono conservate presso la sede della Rivista a cura della direzione.

NORME REDAZIONALI

Regional Studies and Local Development RSLD è una rivista accademica di carattere interdisciplinare che pubblica articoli originali in lingua italiana e in lingua inglese che affrontano i temi degli studi regionali e dello sviluppo locale anche in prospettiva europea multilivello. Numeri monotematici possono essere pubblicati anche in altre lingue con abstract nella lingua di pubblicazione e nelle lingue italiana e inglese. Si rimanda agli Obiettivi della Rivista e al Codice etico per maggiori informazioni sul tipo di tematiche affrontate e per la policy di peer-review.

Per gli articoli non in lingua italiani gli autori si impegnano a far rivedere il loro testo da un madrelingua qualora necessario.

La rivista RSLD accetta queste tipologie di manoscritti: articoli, recensioni/note critiche, report sulle elezioni regionali in Europa.

La lunghezza degli articoli deve essere tra le 8.000 e le 10.000 parole (indicativamente tra i 60.000 e i 70.000 caratteri, spazi inclusi), incluse le note e i riferimenti bibliografici (sono escluse dal conteggio le tabelle, le figure e i grafici). Tutti i manoscritti devono essere presentati nel formato e nello stile definito nel documento Norme Redazionali.

Tutti gli articoli inviati devono essere originali, ovvero non devono essere sottoposti a revisione o essere stati pubblicati altrove. Solo gli articoli che rispettano la politica editoriale della rivista saranno considerati per la pubblicazione.

Gli articoli possono essere accettati in ogni momento. Le Call for papers su specifiche tematiche possono essere pubblicate periodicamente. La rivista prevede la pubblicazione di un numero all’anno, più eventuali numero monografici.
